electrical/mechanical engineering design; or an Associate's Degree in drafting or computer aided

Skills Needed
Experience in the following areas are required: ability to understand basic engineering
terminology; understanding of proper cabling technology; familiarity with cable assembly tooling
to include crimp tools, torque test fixtures, crimp pull fixtures and solder equipment; preparation
of test items including test equipment setup; and ability to write assembly instructions, test
procedures and provide support for quality inspection of first article deliverables.
Experience must include knowledge of electronics such as printed circuit boards,
oscilloscopes, CIRRIS Systems high voltage cable testers and discrete wire harnessing.
Ability to understand basic engineering terminology; understanding of proper cabling
technology; familiarity with cable assembly tooling to include crimp tools, torque test fixtures,
crimp pull fixtures and solder equipment; preparation of test items including test equipment setup;
and ability to write assembly instructions, test procedures and provide support
for quality inspection of first article deliverables.
Be willing to undergo training and obtain certification to IPC/WHMA-A-620 for the basics of
cable and wire harness fabrication.
Experience must include a working knowledge of Microsoft (MS) Windows Operating
Systems (OS) for personal computers and MS Office products.
Duties
Work with a team of technicians and engineers to construct, test, troubleshoot, and
assemble all components of Telemetry/Flight Termination (TM/FTS) kits.
Construct and test cables and wiring harnesses from drawings.
Use drawings, general and special test equipment to test cables, wiring harnesses,
populated printed circuit boards, receivers, and transmitters.
Use drawings, general and special tools and test equipment to assemble, test, and
troubleshoot TM/FTS kits.
Integrate TM/FTS kits into missiles prior to test missions.
Setup, test, and troubleshoot TM/FTS installation; and verify receipt of telemetry data in
support of missile test mission.
~20% travel for qualification and mission support.
