Job Description:
The Infrastructure Network Engineer – Level 3 is a senior-level technical role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a complex enterprise network infrastructure. The role involves working across data centers, campus environments, and cloud platforms to ensure secure, scalable, and highly available connectivity. The engineer will serve as a subject matter expert in advanced routing, segmentation, wireless, remote access, and network security. Daily responsibilities include deployment and management of networking technologies, hands-on troubleshooting, escalation handling, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and documentation of network designs and procedures. The engineer will work closely with vendors and internal IT teams to support new infrastructure projects, upgrades, and integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and operate enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across all locations
- Design, implement, and support EVPN and VXLAN-based architectures for scalable and secure data center and cloud segmentation
- Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols including BGP and EIGRP
- Manage VLANs, VRFs, and spanning tree for network segmentation and resilience
- Administer Palo Alto firewalls and VPNs for site-to-site and remote access security
- Deploy and optimize Prisma SD-WAN solutions for branch, campus, and cloud environments
- Manage BlueCat DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) to ensure reliable and scalable IP address management
- Maintain secure and high-performance remote access using platforms like NetMotion (Absolute Secure)
- Manage and monitor Juniper MIST wireless infrastructure across all environments
- Configure and troubleshoot networking hardware from Arista, Juniper, Cisco, and Palo Alto
- Enforce network security policies including segmentation, access controls, and firewall rules
- Serve as an escalation point for complex network-related incidents
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of network designs, configurations, and procedures
- Collaborate with internal IT teams, senior engineers, and external vendors on infrastructure projects and ongoing improvements
- Stay informed about emerging network technologies and best practices to continuously enhance infrastructure efficiency and security
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network engineering.
- Deep technical expertise in:
- EVPN, VXLAN
- BGP and EIGRP
- VRFs, VLANs, Layer 2/3 segmentation
- Palo Alto Firewalls (configuration and administration)
- Site-to-site and remote-access VPNs
- BlueCat DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM)
- SD-WAN (preferably Prisma SD-WAN)
- Juniper MIST wireless infrastructure
- Remote access solutions such as NetMotion (Absolute Secure)
- Hands-on experience with networking equipment from Arista, Juniper, Cisco, and Palo Alto
- Strong troubleshooting and escalation handling of complex network issues
- Proven track record of maintaining secure, stable, and scalable enterprise networks
Nice-to-Have:
- Industry certifications such as CCNP/CCIE, JNCIA/JNCIP, Arista Certified, Palo Alto Certified, BlueCat DDI, Prisma SD-WAN
- Experience with Juniper MIST wireless certification
- Experience in multi-site or global enterprise environments
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field – Mandatory
- Certifications are not required but considered a strong advantage
