This is a full-time, on-site role based in New York, NY, for an Environmental Health Safety Specialist. Responsibilities include implementing and maintaining environmental, health, and workplace safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance. The role involves conducting workplace inspections, providing safety training, identifying potential hazards, and fostering a culture of safety across all organizational processes. Additionally, the specialist will collaborate with teams to address occupational health matters and ensure the organization adheres to Environment Health and Safety (EHS) best practices.
- Proficient in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) standards and Occupational Health practices
- Strong knowledge of Workplace Safety and Safety Training protocols
- Experience in conducting Health & Safety assessments and inspections
- Capability to monitor and ensure regulatory compliance in environmental and safety domains
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, or a related field is preferred
- Certifications such as OSHA, CSP, or CHST are advantageous
