Client is looking for a detail-oriented Manufacturing Quality Technician to support our quality control operations. In this role, you will perform standardized inspections, maintain accurate documentation, and help ensure all products meet PCI’s safety, accuracy, and performance standards. This position is ideal for someone with strong technical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage quality documentation, including control plans, First Article Inspections (FAIs), blueprints, and related records.
- Support non-conformance processes, including MRB (Material Review Board) and RMAs (Return Material Authorizations).
- Serve as the 5S Champion for the Quality Control department.
- Perform inspections for Shipping and Receiving operations.
- Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action activities.
- Audit control plans and ensure production compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct production floor inspections to identify non-conforming products.
- Work closely with production and tooling teams to resolve quality concerns.
- Participate in internal audits and customer quality reviews.
- Calibrate, maintain, and verify measuring and testing equipment.
- Conduct FAIs using customer drawings and measurement tools; prepare detailed inspection reports.
- Manage the Quality Hold Area, including incoming inspections and customer returns.
- Perform facility-wide inspections across PCI’s three locations.
- Support ISO 9001 compliance efforts and corrective actions.
- Perform additional quality-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or technical degree preferred.
- Experience in quality control or a technical manufacturing role highly preferred.
- Knowledge of sheet metal operations and ISO 9001 standards strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
- Strong math and measurement skills.
- Proficiency with PDFs, DXFs, and 3D models (STEP, SolidWorks).
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Experience with CMM or Faro Arm is a plus.
- Skilled with manual measuring tools (calipers, height gauges, pin gauges, tape measures).
Working Conditions
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods (4–8 hours).
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in an uncontrolled climate environment.
- Willingness to work different shifts or extended hours as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
