About the Role
AI JOBS is partnering with CHRISTUS Santa Rosa Hospital – New Braunfels (CSRH-NB), a 94-bed, full-service medical facility located in the heart of downtown New Braunfels. The hospital offers a wide range of advanced services, including orthopedic and surgical care, emergency and cardiac services, rehabilitation, wound care, and diagnostic imaging with state-of-the-art equipment.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our imaging team. The CT Technologist will perform a broad range of routine and specialized imaging procedures, ensuring diagnostic accuracy and patient safety while maintaining a professional and compassionate approach. This role involves collaborating with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional imaging services and facilitate efficient patient flow.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT scans in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
- Demonstrate flexibility by assisting in other imaging modalities or shifts as departmental needs require.
- Ensure consistent compliance with hospital policies and professional standards related to behavior, attendance, confidentiality, and reliability.
- Adapt patient assessment and care methods to meet diverse physical, psychosocial, cultural, and developmental needs.
- Accurately complete and store exams in PACS; act as a PACS Superuser and assist with downtime and recovery procedures as needed.
- Promote collaboration and communication between technologists, physicians, and other team members to enhance workflow efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with management or biomedical staff for timely resolution.
- Participate in ongoing quality assurance, safety initiatives, and professional development activities.
- Maintain current imaging competencies and uphold CHRISTUS Health’s Core Values in daily practice.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental operations and patient care.
Qualifications
Education & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or an approved equivalent program (required).
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting (preferred).
- Basic computer proficiency (required).
Licenses & Certifications
- One of the following primary modality certifications (active) is required:
- Radiography (R) – ARRT
- Nuclear Medicine Technology – ARRT or NMTCB
- Computed Tomography (CT) certification – ARRT or NMTCB (required within 1 year of hire; required upon hire in New Mexico).
- State Licensure (required):
- Texas – MRT by TMB
- Louisiana – LRT (R), (N), or (F) by LSRTBE
- New Mexico – CT or FUS by MIRTP NMED
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required.
