What you'll actually be doing
- Support implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems for critical enterprise applications
- Provide Tier 1/Tier 2 support — problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution
- Configure, administer, and maintain Windows and UNIX/Linux systems (patching, hardening, tuning)
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure modernization and automation
- Support planning and deployment of infrastructure changes across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud environments
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and SOPs
You're a fit if you
- **Clearance:** Active TS/SCI (non-negotiable — see above)
- Have 10 years of experience as a system administrator (15 years in lieu of a bachelor's degree)
- Bring in-depth Linux experience
- Know your way around PowerShell and Bash scripting
- Have experience with system hardening and working with ISSOs on compliance
- Are DoD 8570 IAT Level I compliant
- Can work core hours 10AM–2PM Mon–Fri (exceptions considered case-by-case)
Nice to Have
- Cloud platform experience (AWS)
- Infrastructure as Code / config management (Ansible, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation)
- DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment
- Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Vulnerability remediation, security patching, STIG implementation
- ATO process, RMF, and security compliance experience
