THE ROLE
As a Fullstack Engineer on the Core Product team at Baseten, you'll build and maintain the core Baseten web application and developer workflows, enabling users to deploy and serve ML models. This role is primarily a front-end position, but there will be lots of opportunities to contribute to our backend, our OSS projects, and other areas of the stack. This team is at the forefront of all new product development at the company. Some of the projects we have in the pipeline:

As a Fullstack Engineer on the Core Product team at Baseten, you'll build and maintain the core Baseten web application and developer workflows, enabling users to deploy and serve ML models. This role is primarily a front-end position, but there will be lots of opportunities to contribute to our backend, our OSS projects, and other areas of the stack. This team is at the forefront of all new product development at the company. Some of the projects we have in the pipeline:
- Training: Enabling customers to fine-tune large models on our platform
- Environments for deployments: Allowing easy integration of model deployment with CI/CD workflows
- Websockets: Enabling low-latency inference scenarios
Responsibilities
- Implement new features and products for the team
- Design abstractions in our frontend and across the codebase to drive higher developer velocity
- Fix bugs and resolve customer issues with urgency
- Work closely with the product and design teams to develop and drive new product ideas
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in software engineering or infrastructure
- Highly proficient in using a modern frontend framework like React
- Familiar with web application backends and databases
- Good taste in product, particularly developer-oriented tools
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
