Construction Scheduler

AI Engineers, Inc. (AIE) is looking for an experienced Construction Scheduler to join our team, supporting projects throughout NY, MA, and CT and projects as needed. This is an immediate opening for an enthusiastic, highly-organized Construction Scheduler to join our experienced team of engineers and designers. Requirements/Qualifications:

• 4 years of construction scheduling experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management or equivalent technical training in construction management, preferred
• Experience with management of P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management
• Experience developing Time Impact Analysis reports
• PMI or AACEI certifications, preferred

Responsibilities:

• Proficiency with Primavera P6

• Track critical activities and changes to the critical path impacting the project

• Monitor program milestones and interdependencies

• Maintain current and standardized job files and provide a summary report on project progress

• Reviews construction design drawings & specifications, conduct field visits and gather all material and data necessary to organize and analyze CPM construction schedules

• Prepare CPM schedule reports indicating the critical path, total float, milestones, constraints, etc. by working with the design and construction management teams

• Analyze baseline schedule to ensure the construction execution approach aligns with the design, specifications and contract/lease milestones

• Identify project risks and include impact analysis for review by project team

• Utilize industry accepted methodologies to analyze delays

• Provide information to the team in real-time on items impacting the project schedule

• Responsible for identifying the critical path, as well as offering alternatives to regain slippage to the schedule

• Integrate document changes into the project schedule

• Schedule Change Management through the review of change orders.

• Perform time impact analyses (TIA) to determine the extent of the impacts of potential delays

• Prepare and analyze “what if” scenarios, etc., and makes recommendations for mitigating schedule slippage

• Conduct technical schedule reviews and analyses; contractor schedule submissions, tracking monthly delay impacts to the baseline schedule and assessing the responsibility of delays

• Assist in the maintenance of the Primavera P6 database, review database structures, and perform monthly database maintenance

• Develop summary schedule analysis reports to be presented to Sr. project management staff

• Assist the Design Department with the development of CTD Schedules

Skills & Abilities:

• A self-starter with the ability to work with project teams and ability to manage deadlines and analyze data

• Ability to conduct technical schedule reviews and analysis

• Strong administrative skills with ability to manage tasks on AEC projects

• Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

• Considerable knowledge of construction materials, methods, and procedures, particularly state DOT projects.
