About the Role

This is an immediate opening for an enthusiastic, highly-organized Proposal Specialist with architecture, engineering or construction experience to join our experienced team of marketing specialists. The ideal candidate should possess a “can-do” attitude, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to work independently as well as with a team in a dynamic, fast-paced, and innovative consulting firm. This position includes opportunities for personal and professional development and growth.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the company’s efforts in projecting quality, consistency, and innovation through all marketing activities across the company.
• Tracking and preparation of responses to RFPs and RFQs including reviewing and editing of materials for timely submissions.
• Preparing PowerPoint presentations.
• Maintenance and updates for marketing collateral including project sheets, resumes, brochures, and newsletters.
• Updating client and project databases in CRM environment.
• Attending client meetings, industry events, etc. as needed.
• Assist with Social Media updates and maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing or related field.
• 3 years of prior experience with developing proposals in the architecture, engineering, construction or related field.
• Experience in desktop publishing including Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office is required.
• Experience with preparing responses to RFPs and RFQs, especially state agencies such as CTDOT, NYSDOT, NYCDOT, NYCSCA, NYCDDC, etc. is strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work independently in a deadline driven environment.
• Strong coordination skills with Project Managers, Technical Leaders as well as outside team members (Prime Consultants, subconsultants, Contractors, etc.).

Required Skills

• A self-starter with the ability to work with project teams and manage multiple and concurrent projects/assignments.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage the assignments related to a diversity of related construction or engineering projects.
• Data driven and detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Considerable knowledge of Architecture, Engineering, Construction bid process and procedures.
• Ability to meet deadlines and complete work in a timely manner.
