Key Responsibilities
General Ledger & Month-End Closing
- Prepare and post journal entries, including accrual, prepaid, revenue, and expense allocation
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
Revenue Accoun
- tingRecord and reconcile revenue transactions in accordance with company poli
- ciesSupport invoicing processes and ensure proper revenue recogni
- tionPartner with sales teams to validate revenue
- dataAssist with deferred revenue analysis, contract review, and revenue-related reconciliations as needed
Financial Reporting
- Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, etc.)
- Support management reporting and variance analysis
- Prepare schedules and supporting documents for internal and external audits
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests from management
Taxation & Compliance
- Support the preparation and review of tax-related journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Assist with federal, state, local, and indirect tax compliance as applicable, including sales tax, income tax, and franchise
- taxEnsure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Process Improvement & Controls
- Help improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Support system implementations or enhancements (e.g., ERP, expense tool)
- Maintain documentation of accounting policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related
- field3–5 years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, FinancialForce)
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment
- Exposure to multi-entity or international operations
- CPA or working toward certification
