Area Service Tech (Entry-Level)
Ai Cook (Instachef) is seeking entry-level candidates who are hands-on, eager to learn, and interested in building a long-term career in food technology and automation. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain real-world technical experience through structured training and mentorship.
You will work closely with experienced technicians and receive step-by-step, on-the-job training in the field.
What You’ll Learn & Do
In this entry-level role, you will:
- Learn to install, service, and maintain AI-powered food vending machines
- Receive training in basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Learn workplace safety procedures and proper use of tools and equipment
- Shadow senior technicians during service calls and equipment installations
- Learn how to document service work and use basic diagnostic tools
- Build customer service and communication skills while supporting client locations
As your skills develop, you will gradually take on more independent responsibilities. Advancement opportunities are available based on performance, reliability, and skill progression.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required;
- No prior field service experience required
- Technical coursework, trade school, military, or hands-on experience is a plus
- Interest in learning mechanical and electrical systems
- Comfortable using basic tools and following instructions
- Ability to read simple diagrams and follow procedures (training provided)
- Basic computer or smartphone skills
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and safety awareness
- Customer-focused mindset and ability to work well on a team
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally
- Mandarin/Chinese is a plus, but not required
- Physical Demands: Drive, climb, lift, carry, push, tighten, loosen, drill, saw, crawl, bend, wrench, shovel, etc.
