What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Project Manager position at Ahtna Solutions, LLC?
Summary:
Provide overall project management direction on a wide variety of environmental projects, some with construction aspects. Personal initiative and critical thinking skills are essential to complete job duties with minimal guidance. The position is deadline-driven. Project managers must be able to set priorities, take ownership of projects, work efficiently, and provide a consistent level of high quality in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment. Project managers must demonstrate innovation, excellent communication skills, and a high level of customer service.
The salary range for this position is $111,481-$162,539/year, please note this is a tiered position.

The ideal candidate will reside in Alaska; however, this could be a telecommute position in the Pacific Northwest region, including Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and northern California.
Minimum Qualifications:
All levels:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Geology, or Physical/Environmental Sciences
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record, able to drive a company vehicle
- Experience with Federal and State contracting
- Must be a citizen of the United States of America
- Ability to pass background checks by various Federal Agencies (e.g., DoD, DHS, FAA, etc.) to obtain security access badges
- Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc., and their impact on project activities
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint Online
- Adept at explaining technical aspects of fieldwork to internal and external clients verbally and in writing
Level - II
- Three (3) to Five (5) years of project management experience, specialized training, and/or an advanced degree such as MS may be substituted for work experience.
- Professional registration (e.g., PG, PMP, PE).
Level – Senior
- Five (5) to Seven (7) years of project management experience, specialized training, and/or an advanced degree such as MS may be substituted for work experience.
- Professional registration (e.g., PG, PMP, PE).
