Responsibilities
- Provide attentive pet care by feeding, watering, administering medications, and monitoring health status throughout the day
- Handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques to ensure safety for pets and staff
- Engage pets in enrichment activities and play to promote mental stimulation and physical activity
- Maintain clean and sanitary kennels, cages, and common areas to uphold hygiene standards
- Assist with pet grooming tasks such as brushing, bathing, and nail trimming to keep animals comfortable and well-groomed
- Support veterinary procedures by assisting with animal handling, restraint, and basic medical tasks as directed
- Deliver excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners about their pets’ needs and stay details
Skills
- Strong animal handling skills with the ability to safely manage dogs of various sizes and temperaments
- Experience with dog training techniques to assist in behavioral management when needed
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary to move supplies or assist with large animals
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with pet owners and team members
- Background in pet sitting or kennel work demonstrating reliability and compassion for animals
