Job Details:

• Position: School-Based Paraprofessional
• Location: Kansas City, KS
• Pay: $16-$18 per hour
• Dates: August 31, 2026 - May 27, 2027
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• Hours: 37.5 paid hours per week
• 7.5 paid hours per day
• Full-time, in-person position
• Multiple openings available across all age groups
• Work alongside teachers and school staff to support students throughout the school day

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide classroom and individualized support to students
• Assist teachers with classroom activities and instruction
• Support students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
• Help students stay engaged and participate in classroom activities
• Follow teacher and special education team direction
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with children or students preferred
• Experience supporting students with special needs is a plus
• Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills
• Must be comfortable working in an in-person school setting
