Job Description

AHRC NYC is holding a HIRING EVENT for Full & Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for their STATEN ISLAND Group home residences.

DATE & TIME: THURSDAY OCTOBER 16TH from 10AM-1PM

LOCATION: Recruiter will provide specific address to qualified candidates.

POSITIONS TO BE FILLED:

40hr Day & Evening Shifts: 7am-3pm.and 3pm-11pm...Drivers License Required.

40hr & 30hr Overnight shifts: 10pm-8am or 11pm-9am....Drivers license NOT Required.

Weekend availability needed for most positions!

PAY RATE: $20-$20.96 per hour based on driving status . All positions come with a comprehensive Benefit package which includes FREE MEDICAL INSURANCE! See below for additional Benefit information.

Responsibilities:

• The oversight of all safety and health considerations
• Promoting skill development, interests, and hobbies
• Assisting with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs)
• Other personalized responsibilities including cooking, cleaning, hygiene, etc.
  
  

Qualifications

• Personal or Professional experience supporting People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred.
• Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills. Patience is a MUST!
• Willingness to support people's preferences for community, activities, work, leisure activities, the exercise of their rights etc. in various settings.
• Ability to use a computer for data entry.
• High school education/GED, highly preferred.
