What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Maintenance Technician position at Ahrberg Milling Company?
Primary Function
Perform maintenance and repairs on production and production related equipment, as well as facility structures to ensure feed production and shipment requirements are met.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Understand the process and flow of ingredients and feed throughout the mill
Work with vendors and other outside contractors to complete maintenance and repairs on equipment and building structures
Must be willing to climb ladders, work at high elevations and within confined space
Able to accomplish tasks with little or no supervision
Able to develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules
Work alongside other mill employees to accomplish a task
Minimum Skill Level and Experience
Three years of maintenance experiences in a manufacturing environment.
Electrical (3-phase), welding, mechanical capabilities acquired either through technical training or on the job.
Strong mechanical aptitude with exceptional problem-solving skills
Valid Driver's license is required.
Because this is a safety sensitive position a clean hair follicle drug test is required.
Pay and Benefits:
Hourly pay is competitive and depends on experience. All regular full-time employees are eligible for health and retirement benefits, holiday pay, and will accrue vacation time during the first year. The hours for this position will vary and can be 8-12 or more hours per day depending on the situation. The hours are typically Monday - Friday 7am-5pm in summer, and Monday - Saturday noon-midnight from October to March. This position is also on-call as needed.
