Duties
- Operate the cash register efficiently, handling all retail sales transactions with accuracy and speed.
- Manage cash drawer handling, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions, and assisting with product information.
- Conduct product demos when needed, highlighting features and benefits to encourage upselling opportunities.
- Maintain knowledge of store products and merchandising standards to assist customers effectively.
- Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure the sales floor is inviting and well-maintained.
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors over the phone.
- Support in inventory management by assisting with stocking and inventory counts as required.
- Engage in retail math calculations for transactions, discounts, or returns with precision.
- Promote sales through upselling techniques, enhancing the shopping experience for customers.
Experience
- Previous cashiering experience in a retail environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations is highly desirable.
- Supervising experience or leadership roles in retail settings will be advantageous for growth opportunities.
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are a plus for connecting with diverse customers.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
