Assistant Business Office Manager (ABOM)
Full-Time | Day Shift
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Business Office Manager (ABOM) to support the daily financial and administrative operations of our facility. This role works closely with the Business Office Manager and Administrator to ensure accurate billing, timely collections, regulatory compliance, and a positive financial experience for residents and families.

Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day business office operations including billing, collections, and accounts receivable
- Assist with Medicaid applications, recertifications, and ongoing follow-up
- Communicate with residents and families regarding financial obligations and payer sources
- Help ensure timely and accurate submission of billing and supporting documentation
- Maintain resident trust accounts and financial records in accordance with policy
- Coordinate with corporate billing partners, caseworkers, and internal teams
- Track and report on census, payer mix, and collections as directed
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility policies
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times
- Collaborate with the Business Office Manager, Administrator, and interdisciplinary team
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Healthcare business office experience preferred
- Knowledge of Medicaid processes and long-term care billing strongly preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through
- Effective communication and customer service skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, team-oriented, and resident-focused mindset
