Duties
- Assist children and adults with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide engaging activities that promote childhood development, early childhood education, and behavioral management
- Support infants and toddlers with feeding, diapering, sleep routines, and developmental milestones
- Implement safety procedures including first aid when necessary and ensure a secure environment at all times
- Collaborate with families, teachers, or healthcare professionals to develop tailored care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and observe any changes in health or behavior
- Create a warm, nurturing atmosphere that encourages learning, growth, and emotional well-being
Qualifications
- Prior experience in childcare, nannying, daycare work, or classroom settings demonstrating classroom experience or preschool expertise
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Experience working with children of various ages including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and team members
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with patience, compassion, and professionalism
- Familiarity with early childhood education practices or caregiving for individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
