What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician position at AHN?
Department: Inpatient Pharmacy
Work Hours: Full Time 40hours/week, rotating weekend & holidays, Typical hours of coverage 6:00AM-10:00pm.
Basic Function:
As part of the patient care team, the pharmacy technician provides assistance to the pharmacist. This position requires a commitment to continually support pharmacy services in order to provide quality care and efficient operations while considering fiscal responsibility.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Registration as Pharmacy Technician, Pharmacy Technician Trainee, or Pharmacy Intern, through the PA State Board of Pharmacy.
Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.
Preferred:
Graduate of a certified Pharmacy Technician’s training program. One year experience in either a Retail or Hospital Pharmacy Setting as a Pharmacy Technician.
