Job Summary
Ahlum & Arbor is hiring a Plant Health Care (PHC) Technician to help care for trees, shrubs, and landscapes throughout Central Ohio. If you enjoy being outside, working independently, learning about plant care, and making properties look their best, this could be a great fit. This position focuses on the health and preservation of landscapes—not just maintenance. We’re looking for someone who wants to grow professionally and take pride in quality work. You'll work outdoors in various settings, utilizing your skills in pest control to deliver exceptional results. Duties
- Apply treatments for trees and shrubs including fertilization, pest, and disease management
- Monitor plant health and identify issues in landscapes
- Work outdoors daily on residential and commercial properties
- Operate spray equipment, tanks, and application tools safely
- Communicate professionally with clients and team members
- Maintain accurate records and follow safety procedures
- Help preserve and improve the health of landscapes across our community
Requirements
- Experience in landscaping, plant health care, ltree care, or horticulture
- Interest in trees, shrubs, plant health, or outdoor work
- Ability to work independently and stay organized
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- State Pesticide Applicator license is a plus (or willingness to obtain one)
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
