Position Summary:
We are seeking a proactive, organized, and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team. This role supports attorneys in delivering high-quality legal services through document preparation, legal research, and professional client communication. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of legal procedures and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafts routine legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests and responses, contracts, and correspondence
- Assists with discovery processes, including the collection, review, organization, and production of large volumes of documents
- Conducts legal research and analyzes statutes, regulations, and other legal sources
- Serves as a point-of-contact for clients, managing routine updates and responding to information requests
- Maintains and organizes physical and electronic files and records
- Tracks and enters billable time on a daily basis
- Provides general administrative and case support as needed
Required Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, court procedures, research methods, and document formatting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams) and Adobe Acrobat (PDFs)
- Excellent organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize incoming work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and reliability
- Passing of a background check
Preferred Skills:
- Paralegal Certification or Degree
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal assistant, legal secretary, or similar legal support role
- Familiarity with e-filing systems
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys
Work Model:
- On-Site Monday through Friday
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Hours between 7:30am to 5:00pm (‘choose your own’ 7.50 hour work-day)
