Responsibilities
- Perform general dentistry procedures including examinations, cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, and extractions.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Utilize dental imaging technology and interpret results to diagnose dental conditions accurately.
- Administer oral surgeries such as dental extractions and root canal therapy with precision and aseptic technique.
- Provide pediatric dentistry services, including behavior management and age-appropriate care.
- Engage in prosthodontics procedures involving dental fabrication and restoration.
- Maintain detailed medical and dental records in compliance with HIPAA regulations using electronic health record systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, preventive care, and treatment options using clear dental terminology.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe clinical environment.
- Collaborate with dental team members practicing four-handed dentistry for efficient patient care delivery.
- Stay current with advancements in general dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry to continually enhance clinical skills.
Qualifications
- DDS or DMD degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license in good standing.
- Experience with dental office management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical documentation standards.
- Proven experience in general dentistry procedures including dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and endodontics.
- Ability to perform oral surgery with proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control measures.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively.
- Experience working in a fast-paced dental clinic environment is highly desirable.
