Responsibilities
- Operate tow trucks, including flatbed and traditional tow trucks, to recover and transport vehicles efficiently and safely.
- Secure vehicles using cargo securement protocols to prevent damage during transit.
- Perform basic automotive diagnostics and repair assessments to determine the best recovery approach.
- Load and unload vehicles carefully, adhering to safety procedures and cargo handling protocols.
- Manage conflict situations with professionalism, ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving issues promptly.
- Maintain detailed logs of all towing activities, vehicle conditions, and incident reports.
- Conduct routine inspections of tow truck equipment, including mechanical components, to ensure optimal operation.
Requirements
- Proven experience with automotive diagnostics, automotive repair, and vehicle mechanics for truck drivers.
- Mechanical knowledge of truck systems, including manual transmissions and vehicle mechanics.
- Hands-on experience with tow trucks such as flatbeds or wheel-lift models.
- Familiarity with cargo securement protocols and vehicle load & unload procedures.
- Ability to operate forklifts or similar equipment as needed for loading or unloading vehicles.
- Strong customer service skills combined with conflict management abilities to handle challenging situations professionally.
