Summary of Duties:
The Quality Engineer will report to the Quality Engineering Leader. The Quality Engineer would be responsible for ensuring the proper auditing of processes to ensure products are produced according to product and process specifications.
Description of Duties:
• Supervises and directs the efforts of assigned employees to include: scheduling work, maintaining time records (Kronos) and employee records.
• Develops, initiates, and completes process audits to ensure that our products are produced in a quality focused environment.
• Works with process engineers to develop and improve systems, procedures and work instructions to enhance overall quality.
• Completes internal audits to support the Quality Management System.
• Validates measurement systems through Gage R&R studies or other statistical means.
• Assists with auditing material returned from customers.
• Assists with the execution of trials and trial material handling.
• Supports customer audits including managing implementation of follow up actions.
• Develops a robust supplier audit process and communicates expectations.
• Create and maintain process control documents.
• Other tasks as deemed appropriate by management.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience as Quality Engineer
• Minimum B.S. degree in Engineering from an accredited university
• Knowledge of and experience with operating under QMS standards ISO 9001/AS9100
• Experience utilizing formal Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques
• Statistical analysis capability
• Strong organizational skills
• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to utilize data to prioritize efforts and set focus
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Minimal travel may be required
Desired but Not Required:
• Proficient in Lotus Notes
• Proficient in Oracle
