We are looking for a dedicated individual to join our team as a Full-Time Bookkeeper at our headquarters in Santa Paula, California. As a vital member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining our financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our business.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Process and reconcile monthly bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial data.
- Prepare and submit regular financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Manage payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment of employees and contractors. Process certified payroll when needed.
- Collaborate with management to develop and maintain budgets, as well as track and analyze budget variances.
- Assist with tax preparation and work closely with external accountants as needed.
- Monitor and manage inventory and assist with purchasing and vendor management.
- Conduct periodic audits of financial transactions to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Assist with other administrative and financial tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, Word).
- Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of California tax regulations related to the construction industry is a plus.
- An associate degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
