Aguila's Hidaway in Avondale, AZ, seeks candidates to fill several part-time Door Personnel positions for all West side locations. Efficient Door Personnel are tasked with maintaining the safety of all individuals within and around the building. This will include but is not limited to monitoring all entrances and exits, watching the crowd for altercations, quickly resolving disputes, controlling who enters the premises, and monitoring all areas where cash is held or changes hands. Abilities should include always remaining friendly, professional, calm, and in control of every potential situation. The ideal candidate will be willing to move between all West Side locations.

Responsibilities
*Control the Crowd- This begins with controlling the flow of foot traffic into a bar and includes removing patrons who get too rowdy. Use problem-solving skills to settle disputes respectfully and contact the authorities when needed.
*Check the identification of ALL guests at the door to ensure that each person in the building is at least 21 years old. Door personnel are also challenged by spotting fake IDs.
*Ensuring the security of all guests within the building. It’s up to the door personnel to ensure everyone is protected. This may include wanding/frisking patrons to ensure they do not have any weapons, drugs, or other illegal contraband.
*Greet Customers with a personable and friendly attitude. Door Personnel are part of the entertainment experience.
*Monitor & Enforce Dress Codes within the building and on personal property. No affiliations of any kind will be tolerated.
Qualifications
As door personnel, you will be the face of our establishment and responsible for maintaining a balance between authority and respect. This role requires physical and mental readiness to handle various situations while always respecting the privacy and dignity of our guests.
*Physical fitness – Need to be physically up to the task of forcibly removing individuals from the premises or breaking up altercations between guests.
*Qualified in making split-second decisions based on the situation at hand. Prior security experience helps prevent overreactions from escalating to harmful situations and poor decision-making.
*Familiarity with safety protocols – Know how to keep a large group of people safe, when to remove a person from the premises, and when to contact the correct authorities.
*Situational awareness – Having excellent vision and being extremely observant of your surroundings while patrolling inside the building and in dark areas.
*Professionalism is crucial to ensure no guest feels favoritism towards other guests or feels mistreated. Capable of always carrying themselves in a professional manner, especially in chaotic environments
*Ability to think clearly and react quickly with problem-solving techniques.
