Position Description: Agua Trucks has an opening for a friendly, dependable team member to assist in our shop.
We are a family-owned business started in 2006. Our fleet consists of water trucks, street sweepers, dump trucks, tractors and skid steers. If you are interested in expanding your mechanical knowledge this position could be right for you.
The role of the General Service tech is to support the Techs and Shop Manager by ensuring the shop has the necessary parts and equipment required to perform their duties. The General Service Tech will also assist with maintaining equipment, pickups/deliveries, cleaning the shop and surrounding area and more.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Requirements - Experience: Job related experience is desired.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Hand tools necessary for the job
Physical Requirements: The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some climbing and balancing, some stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching. The Shop Assisant will be spend approximatley two thirds of their time performing tasks while standing, and one third of their time traveling in a company provided vehicle. The job is performed under some temperature extremes and under conditions with exposure to risk of injury and/or illness such as dust, power tools, electrical currents, extreme heat, and more. Picking up parts from vendors.
Picking up and delivering water trailers
Cleaning and organizing the shop and surrounding area for the purpose of maintaining a safe and sanitary work area.
Cleaning assigned vehicles, both interior and exterior for the purpose of maintaining appearance, sanitation and safety of vehicle.
Assisting Mechanics with repairs.
Performing small repairs without assistance.
Maintaing tools, equipment and/or shop area for the purpose of ensuring the availability of tools and equipment, and safety within the workspace.
Test driving sweepers and water trucks to verify repairs
Performing other tasks as directed by managerial staff.
