POSITION SUMMARY

This position will learn the day-to-day operations of a Sales Agronomist, while working closely with an Agtegra Sales Agronomist as their mentor. The Sales Agronomist Intern will crop scout, learn about a variety of seed, chemical, and fertilizer products, while playing a role in maintaining grower relationships through scouting crops and giving product recommendations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Assist sales agronomists with soil sampling, crop stand evaluation, tissue sampling, and weed, insect, and disease identification.
• Generate recommendations for sales agronomists and growers based on in field findings.
• Assist in test plot planting and plot evaluation. 
• Learn and utilize company technology programs and operation management tools.
• Ensure safe, efficient, and accurate loading, unloading, and deliveries of products.
• Follow label instructions and orders when loading and delivering crop protection products, blending fertilizer, and when treating seed.
• Perform field applications and inventory control of fertilizer, and crop protection products.
• Adheres to all safety regulations, requirements, policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations, the vehicle policy and fleet safety program, and DOT regulations. 
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 

• Enrollment toward appropriate agriculture degree. Enrollment in an agronomy program is preferred.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. 
• Must be 18 years or older.
• English proficiency. 
• Valid Drivers License.
