Are you currently pursuing a degree in an Ag related field or do you have a desire to operate drones? Do you have a desire to learn just what it takes to work with a thriving Agronomy Team, interacting with customers and learning the science behind producing a great crop? Join our team TODAY!
AgState wants to help you further your education by walking side-by-side with you during your internship. We will help provide hands-on education letting you experience real world scenarios as you learn. We offer up to a 12-week paid internship to qualified and motivated individuals who will be responsible for learning our agronomy business while operating cutting edge technology. You will find a team atmosphere committed to safety and excellent customer service with the opportunity to develop even more soft skills that will be beneficial in school and beyond!
You Will
· Comply with all AgState safety policies by working in a safe and efficient manner.
· Utilize outstanding customer service with internal and external customers.
· Utilize drones and technology to collect and analyze images of farm fields captured by drones
· Collect aerial imagery and flight test using unmanned aircraft
· Create and follow project schedules and test plans
· Communicate and coordinate with customers and the Agronomy Team
· Travel the AgState territory to collect images and present information collected
· Work with Seed Lead and Agronomy Regional Business Leader on special projects.
· Present findings to AgState agronomy sales group at completion of project.
· Attend meetings (sales meetings, training events, marketing meetings, and leadership meetings)
· Other duties as assigned.
You Must
· You must be pursuing a related degree or have the relevant licensing
· Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
- Class B CDL or higher preferred but not required.
· You must have a FAA Part 107 Certified for Commercial Drones in the USA
· You must have a Class 3 Medical to operate drones over 55 lbs or more.
· You must have an Iowa commercial applicator license. (Core and 11F)
· Ability to obtain/maintain Hazmat license.
· Part 137 Certified a plus
