What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at AGS - Sterling Heights?
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment
- Performing preventative maintenance
- Handing basic repairs and maintenance
- Diagnosing mechanical issues and correcting them
- Repairing machines, equipment, or structures as necessary
- Critical thinking
- Attention to detail and precision when executing and following up on work orders
employment requirements:
- Proven maintenance experience
- High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Minimum two year's maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches (hand and power tools)
- Knowledge of TS16949, ISO, and OSHA regulations preferred
- Available for overtime before or after your shift, and weekends
- Flexibility to help fill in on off shifts if business demands
- Training: LOTO training, HAZWOPER, & Fall Protection
- Able to read, write, and speak English fluently, good communication skills
- Ability to work independently
Physical requirements:
- Able to stand/walk for the duration of shift
- Able to lift 50lbs unassisted
- Able to work at heights inside/outside the facility
- Able to wear and work in required PPE
Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen (including THC)
