Head Chef – Senior Living Apartments
We are seeking an experienced, creative, and passionate Chef to join our team at Sycamore Reserve senior living community. The Chef will be responsible for creating delicious and nutritious meals for our residents, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences. The Chef will also be responsible for managing the kitchen staff, ordering supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
Responsibilities:- Plan and prepare nutritious and flavorful meals for residents on a daily basis- Develop menus that cater to the dietary restrictions and preferences of our residents- Manage kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling- Order supplies and manage inventory to ensure that the kitchen is well-stocked- Ensure that the kitchen adheres to all health and safety regulations- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen at all times- Collaborate with the activities director to plan special events and themed meals
Able to work flexible schedule, weekends required. Full Time Position
Qualifications:- Proven experience as a Chef, preferably in a senior living or similar setting- Strong knowledge of nutrition and dietary restrictions- Excellent communication and leadership skills- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously- Attention to detail and a focus on quality- ServSafe certification is a plus
