What the Role Delivers
This role operates equipment and processes for the manufacture and packaging of specialty industrial chemicals. Responsible for creating and maintaining accurate production records, and a clean organized work area. Responsible for accurately and consistently following established procedures and personal safety performance.
Key Responsibilities
In order of relative importance
- Follow plant safety procedures, use appropriate personal protective safety equipment.
- Identify, prepare and handle chemicals and materials from warehouse inventory.
- Operate assigned machines and equipment; perform minor equipment maintenance and calibrations as specified.
- Prepare, package, label, and inspect final product for sale or use; perform basic quality testing.
- Participate in and comprehend plant training for safety, quality, environmental, and operating procedures.
- Maintain safe, clean, organized work areas including drums and tote bins.
- Other duties as assigned by supervision.

What the Job Requires
- High school degree or GED.
- Proficiency in spoken/written English. Spanish not required but a plus.
- Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing environment, indoors and outdoors, with a variety of ambient conditions.
- Aptitude for general mathematics including basic arithmetic.
- General computer proficiency. Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Forklift experience.
- Punctual attendance; ability to work overtime and/or weekends, sometimes on short notice.
