Pipe Foreman – Irrigation Construction

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Pipe Foreman to join our growing irrigation construction team. This position is responsible for leading the installation of irrigation mainline and pipe systems, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can work independently, coordinate with management, and help drive successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Field Operations

• Lead and direct daily pipe installation activities on irrigation projects.
• Work closely with project managers and superintendents to ensure work is completed on schedule.
• Provide guidance and support to field personnel assigned to the project.
• Maintain a productive and professional work environment.

Safety

• Enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct work in a safe manner and promote a culture of safety on every jobsite.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety requirements.

Project Execution

• Install irrigation mainline, lateral lines, sleeves, valves, fittings, and related components according to plans and specifications.
• Read and interpret construction plans, irrigation drawings, and grade information.
• Coordinate pipe installation activities to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
• Identify and resolve field issues that may impact production or quality.

Quality Control

• Verify that all installations meet company standards, project specifications, and client expectations.
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper alignment, depth, and functionality of irrigation systems.
• Assist with testing and troubleshooting of installed systems.

Equipment & Materials

• Operate and oversee the proper use of equipment and tools required for pipe installation.
• Monitor material usage and communicate material needs to management.
• Report equipment maintenance or repair needs promptly.

Communication & Documentation

• Maintain effective communication with project managers, superintendents, clients, and other trades.
• Complete daily reports, work logs, and safety documentation as required.
• Provide updates on project progress and potential challenges.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Pipe Foreman, Lead Pipe Installer, or similar role in irrigation, site development, or underground utility construction.
• Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, pipe installation methods, valves, fittings, and related components.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and irrigation drawings.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift, carry, and perform the physical demands associated with construction work.
