The Fair Trade Practices Program (FTPP) Packers and Stockyards Division (PSD) administers the Packers and Stockyards Act of 1921, as amended and supplemented. The Packers and Stockyards Act (Act) is a competition, trade practice and financial protection law. The incumbent serves as a Financial Systems Analyst in the Central Reporting Unit (CRU) located in the Western Regional Office. The CRU is designed to more efficiently process Annual Reports (AR) and Custodial Special Annual Reports (CSAR).
FOR THE GS-06 LEVEL: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-05 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates:

Qualifications:

- Accounting, finance, business, auditing, or related discipline to ensure accuracy of the Annual and Special reporting requirements provided to the Regional Offices and Headquarters.
- Automated database systems such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
FOR THE GS-07 LEVEL: Applicants must have one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-06 level) that may have been obtained in the private or public (local, county, state, Federal) sectors which demonstrates:
- Accounting methods, procedures, and techniques to validate transactions and perform research to resolve inconsistencies.
- Statutory reporting requirements and understanding of how service process notices are issued resulting from non-compliance with reporting requirements and tracked for potential legal actions.
