What are the responsibilities and job description for the Repair Technician/Millwright position at Agri Systems of Cape & Jackson?
As a Service Technician, you job duties would include, but not be limited to:
- Troubleshooting agricultural storage equipment problems
- Assess and repair equipment on a team and individual basis.
- Perform inspections and recommend repairs on equipment to help eliminate down time for our customers.
- Writing a detailed report of the repairs made on equipment for proper documentation and invoicing.
- Constructing new equipment.
- Preventative maintenance programs.
This job might be for you if you have:
- Experience in servicing agricultural, farming, or construction equipment etc.
- An understanding of agriculture, farming background, or ag experience (preferred but we are open to heavy equipment or construction experience).
- Ability to work flexible hours during peak seasons.
- The ability to work independently is a dedicated self-starter and drives position productivity without the need for direct, constant supervision.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to facilitate coordination among multiple parties often under specific timeframes and deadlines.
- Mechanical Aptitude.
Successful Candidates at a minimum must be able to:
- Lift up to 50 lbs
- Operate manual and power tools
- Read measurement devices accurately
- Do basic math
- Work in a wide variety of weather conditions
- Show a valid driver’s License
- Have reliable transportation to and from our shop/office as required
- Safe work practices and common sense
Pay is dependent on experience. M-F workweek, but expect overtime during late summer & fall.

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
