DAIRY DATA ANALYST

Summary

Agri-King is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual for a Dairy Data Analyst position. The Dairy Data Analyst works alongside our Nutrition Consultants, clients, mills, and nutritionists to analyze dairy production data and provide information that helps identify opportunities to improve herd performance and profitability.

The ideal candidate will have a background in agriculture, especially modern dairy operations. This position will play an important role in supporting our field staff by turning on-farm data into useful information and actionable recommendations.

Essential Function

• Organize and prioritize daily work while managing multiple projects.

• Extract and analyze information from on-farm herd management programs.

• Identify areas of opportunity and areas that do not meet industry benchmarks.

• Evaluate opportunities and help determine which areas should be addressed based on urgency and potential return on investment.

• Support Nutrition Consultants in the field with client data and analysis.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze data and develop reports and sales tools.

• Build and update Excel-based tools to support Agri-King products and programs.

• Distribute reports and information to appropriate personnel.

• Research and stay informed on new precision dairy technologies and programs. • Serve as a resource to field staff regarding emerging dairy technologies and their potential benefits.

• Work collectively with consultants, nutritionists, and other team members to support Agri-King clients.

Qualifications

• Agricultural background required, with modern dairy experience strongly preferred.

• Strong understanding of dairy production and herd management.

• Experience with a variety of herd management software programs preferred (DairyComp305, PCDART, BoviSync, DairyPlan, Afimilk and others)

• Experience working for a herd management software company, particularly in a customer support or analytical role, would be beneficial.

• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas and functions.

• Experience with Excel Macros would be a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent organizational, mathematical, and analytical skills.

• Ability to work independently while also working effectively as part of a team.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

• Strong communication skills with associates, consultants, and clients.

• Interest in precision dairy technology and emerging technologies is preferred.
