Position: Parts Specialist – Non-exempt
Position Reports to: Parts Manager
Job Purpose Summary: Maintain Proper Inventory to Ensure Exemplary Service
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Maintain proper inventory levels of parts for service calls and customer orders
- Inventory, label, and organize parts
- Conduct research to determine replacement parts available
- Advise customers on parts needed, available substitutions, and how parts can be utilized
- Receive and fill phone and in-person orders
- Prepare invoices
- Examine returns for defects – exchange defective parts – refund or replace
- Work as a team with technicians and customer service representatives to ensure exemplary service.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
- Constantly move about office to access, sort, and inventory parts, obtain files, consult supervisor
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
- The person in this position frequently communicates with customers and other employees
- Frequently moves parts and supplies weighing 25 lbs.
- Occasionally moves parts and supplies weighting 50 lbs.
- Occasional bending, reaching, twisting, gripping
