Job Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating maintenance activities to ensure the reliability, efficiency, and safe operation of production, conditioning, warehouse, and harvest equipment. This position oversees preventive and corrective maintenance programs, supervises maintenance personnel, manages maintenance resources and contractors, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to support operational objectives and maximize equipment uptime.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure production, conditioning, warehouse, dryer, and harvest equipment are maintained in safe and efficient operating condition.
- Coordinate off-season maintenance activities and in-season repair efforts to maximize equipment availability and operational performance.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, preventive maintenance schedules, and asset tracking information within the designated maintenance management system.
- Supervise, train, develop, and manage maintenance employees, including performance management, coaching, employee development, and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Manage maintenance workforce scheduling, approve time off requests, verify hours worked, and ensure adequate staffing coverage to support operational needs.
- Forecast, source, negotiate, and manage spare parts inventory and maintenance-related supplies to support operational reliability and cost efficiency.
- Coordinate and oversee external contractors and specialized service providers performing maintenance-related work.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, operational efficiency, productivity, and cost reduction.
- Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Operations leadership to support quality objectives, operational excellence initiatives, and achievement of business goals.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and operational excellence.
Education and Experience:
- Technical School, Trade School, Associate's Degree, or equivalent experience in Mechanical Technology, Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, Construction Management, Welding, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, production, agricultural operations, industrial operations, or a related environment.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
- Experience managing maintenance programs, equipment reliability initiatives, and maintenance personnel preferred.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to meet company Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) requirements.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Directly supervises maintenance employees and maintenance team leaders/supervisors as applicable.
- Participates in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.
- Oversees daily maintenance activities and workflow assignments.
- Provides coaching, performance feedback, employee development, and performance evaluations.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Handles employee performance issues, corrective actions, and termination processes in accordance with company policy.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 65 pounds.
- Ability to work required hours and shifts based on operational needs.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions, including hot, cold, wet, and dry environments.
- Approximately 25% of work may be performed outdoors.
- Frequent walking, standing, climbing, bending, and reaching in production and maintenance environments.
- Must be able to safely access equipment and work areas throughout the facility.
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and meet MVR requirements.
