Software Development Engineer in Test

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our team responsible for building and testing an advanced AI-driven Testing Platform. In this role, you will work closely with Engineering and Product teams to design, develop, and automate test solutions while also contributing to development tasks within the platform. This is a hybrid development automation engineering position.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute automated test scripts using Playwright and JavaScript
• Contribute to backend development features and components (Python/Java/Golang)
• Design test frameworks and build scalable automation capabilities
• Perform integration, functional, API, and UI testing for the AI testing platform
• Work closely with developers to improve reliability, performance, and code quality
• Participate in CI/CD processes to ensure seamless deployment and testing
• Debug complex issues and provide detailed resolution support
• Advocate for testability and maintainability throughout the SDLC

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong software engineering background with hands-on coding experience in:
• Python (preferred) or
• Java or Golang
• Expertise in Playwright for automation testing
• Proficiency in JavaScript for test automation scripts
• Experience with RESTful API testing and automation frameworks
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-based environments
• Strong analytical and debugging skills

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with AI/ML testing practices
• Knowledge of testing distributed or microservices-based systems
• Exposure to DevOps/Container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
