Summary

AGRA Industries is seeking a Senior Sales Representative to lead the estimation and sale of industrial equipment and construction projects across the seed, biomass, ethanol, animal feed, and fabrication markets. This role blends technical knowledge, strategic communication, and business development to help AGRA maintain its leadership in industrial fabrication and general contracting.


Site Evaluation & Scope Development

  • Travel to project sites to assess potential opportunities and gather data for accurate proposals.
  • Develop comprehensive scopes of work tailored to customer needs.
  • Utilize 3D scanning equipment and other field tools for site documentation when beneficial.


Project Estimation & Design

  • Collaborate with engineering to refine project scope, design concepts, and feasibility.
  • Prepare conceptual project layouts or designs to improve cost estimation accuracy.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of AGRA’s product lines, fabrication capabilities, and service offerings to ensure accurate and competitive proposals.


Cost Estimating & Quoting

  • Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications, including equipment, structural steel, buildings, concrete, and earthwork.
  • Prepare and manage subcontractor RFPs and analyze bids for completeness and competitiveness.
  • Consolidate cost data into clear, professional customer quotes with defined scope inclusions and exclusions.
  • Manage multiple estimates simultaneously, prioritizing high-value and time-sensitive opportunities.


Sales & Customer Engagement

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, understanding their needs and providing AGRA’s best-fit solutions.
  • Follow up on proposals, negotiate pricing and terms, and work to close sales that align with company objectives.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and industry partners.
  • Represent AGRA Industries at trade shows and conferences to generate leads and promote company capabilities.


Internal Coordination

  • Lead internal project handoffs to ensure a seamless transition from estimating to project management.
  • Communicate all project details—including scope, schedule, quality expectations, and risks—to internal teams for successful execution.
  • Collaborate closely with project management, manufacturing, and installation teams to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in agricultural fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial construction and sales.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks a plus.
  • Strong technical aptitude, accuracy, and follow-through.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and trade events as needed.
