Work Environment:
This position is based full-time at the Shelbyville, IN manufacturing facility, with regular presence required on the production floor across all shifts, including periodic off-shift, weekend, and holiday coverage to support a 24/7 operation. The plant environment includes exposure to manufacturing conditions typical of automotive glass processing, including heat (tempering/furnace areas), noise, glass handling, forklift and overhead crane traffic, and use of personal protective equipment (safety glasses, hearing protection, cut-resistant gloves, steel-toed footwear) in designated areas. The role requires the physical ability to walk, stand, and move throughout the facility for extended periods, climb stairs/platforms, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. Office time is spent in a standard plant administration setting.

Primary Duties:
- Must follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the position
- Maintain a constant flow of product for the area line
- Assist with the development of new packing specifications
- Ensure product quality meets specifications; perform quality inspections as required
- Pack the windows onto racks using proper glass handling techniques
- If handling raw glass; place hands on top & side, while wearing cut safe gloves, capes & aprons
- Use extra safety precautions when placing into cullet bins or testing for quality measures
- Ensure the Packing Specifications are being followed for each part being packed
- Support the team during all changeovers as needed
- Assist in trouble shooting operation failures
- Perform 5S and housekeeping duties to maintain high standard of facility cleanliness
- Communicate concerns, improvements and general information to others on the line
- Assist with problem solving of manufacturing problems within the teams operations and other groups as necessary, to achieve production goals
- Fulfill assignments/ tasks given by coordinators and team leaders
- Train and encourage others in order to achieve team goals
- Support safety, health, and environmental rules and lead by example
- All other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required:
- Knowledgeable in position specific SOPs and IATF requirements
- Ability to work in temperatures of extreme hot or cold based on weather conditions
- Physical ability to sit, walk, stand, push, pull, carry, lift, squat, kneel and/or twist
Primary Duties:
- Installing add-on hardware, rubber filler, metal/spacers, child security labels and other specific items to the finished glass product
- Retrieving & packing product on or off of racks
- Fulfill assignments/ tasks given by supervisors and team leader
- Responsible for producing various products in accordance with all work instructions, quality, safety and environmental policies
- Assist with problem solving of manufacturing problems by communicating with specialist, lead, supervisor or otherwise; to achieve production goals
- Authority to initiate solutions as a result of issues discussed
- Ensure product quality meets IATF specifications based on the position specific SOPs (standard operating procedures)
- Perform 5S and housekeeping duties to maintain high standard of facility cleanliness
- Assist with the development of new packing specifications
- SPC (statistical process control) data collection as required
- Train and encourage others in order to achieve team goals
- Support safety, health, and environmental rules and lead by example
- All other duties as assigned

Rotating Day/Evening Shifts - 2/2/3 - we will provide a schedule upon hire
Core Hours: Choice of 6:45am-7pm or 645pm-7pm - Only work 6 months per year
Work Every Other Weekend
Hourly Pay: $21.60 - OT will be at least 12 hours per week, but will level off in the coming months
