Job Summary
AGQ USA is seeking a Food Safety Account Manager to manage key food industry accounts and develop new business within the food safety sector. This role supports clients with complex analytical testing needs and works directly with internal laboratory and technical teams. Candidates with food testing, regulatory knowledge, or ISO-17025 experience will be prioritized.
Responsibilities
-Manage and grow current client portfolio
-Serve as the primary point of contact for food safety clients, ensuring timely communication and service excellence.
-Support clients with testing needs such as pesticide residues, heavy metals, nutritional analysis, and MRL compliance.
-Identify and close new business opportunities through outreach, cold calling, networking, and participation in trade shows.
-Develop and maintain account plans, sales strategies, and forecasting.
-Use CRM tools to manage leads, track activity, and report performance.
-Collaborate with internal laboratory, quality, and technical teams to ensure accurate and timely project execution.
-Prepare sales reports and revenue projections for management review.
-Represent AGQ USA at industry events, client visits, and facility tours.
-Maintain working knowledge of ISO-17025 principles and their relevance to food safety testing.
Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree required; food science, chemistry, biology, agriculture, or related fields preferred.
-Experience working in or selling services for an ISO-17025 accredited laboratory preferred.
-Background in food safety, regulatory compliance, or analytical testing is highly beneficial.
-Proven success in outside sales, account management, or business development.
-Strong technical communication skills and the ability to explain analytical testing concepts to clients.
-Proficiency with CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
-Self driven, organized, and able to work independently.
-Must live within commuting distance of Oxnard CA or be willing to relocate.

Compensation and Benefits
Base Salary: $50,000 to $70,000 depending on experience
Commission: Based on revenue growth from new and existing accounts
On Target Earnings: $100,000 to $120,000 annually
Pay Schedule: Bi-weekly, commissions paid quarterly, year-end bonus potential
