General Summary: Plays a key role in optimizing and maintaining Slate, the College's admission CRM system, to ensure it supports enrollment workflows, data-driven decision making, a meaningful applicant experience, and other departmental objectives. Main objectives will include managing applicant credentialing and helping to execute admission communication flow. Possible hybrid flexibility available. The assistant director reports to the director of admission operations or other designated person and works with co-workers, faculty, staff, students, applicants for admission and third-party vendors to maintain the orderly operation of the Office of Admission Operations.
Essential Job Functions:
- Works with the Director of Admission Operations to design, build, maintain and improve functionality within Technolutions SIate to enhance new student enrollment.
- Creates ad hoc reports for third-party vendors to support recruitment efforts.
- Stays informed of new technologies by participating in professional development opportunities.
- Maintains undergrad and graduate prospect and applicant data.
- Evaluates applicant credentials for accuracy and validity.
- Collaborates with the Director of Enrollment Marketing to execute communication flow to prospects and applicants.
- Assists with coordination of administrative computing (Ellucian Colleague) procedures.
- Provides training and technical support to admission staff on the use of Slate.
- Assists in the preparation of weekly and annual reports.
- Recruits, trains and supervises student assistants.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's degree required
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of college admission and/or recruitment experience. Minimum of 2 years of experience working with CRM systems (Slate preferred) and reporting tools. Occasional evening and weekend work is required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Good Excel skills are essential.
- Working understanding HTML, CSS and Liquid Markup.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong proofreading skills to facilitate clear and concise, grammatically correct business correspondence and marketing materials.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem solve in a technical environment.
- Availability to participate in evening and weekend recruiting events throughout the year on a periodic basis.
- Demonstrated experience with data analysis, database management (Ellucian Colleague preferred), software systems (Technolutions Slate preferred), and reports.
- Ability to establish priorities and manage multiple activities to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to function as an effective team member in a high work volume office.
- Ability to adapt to a constantly changing work environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Intermittent sitting, standing, stooping, crouching, walking, and occasional moving of light objects. Work is performed in an office.
