SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Service Manager contributes to the success of Agnes Restaurant and Cheesery through direction and control of restaurant operations to ensure a positive guest experience and company profitability. You will oversee and coordinate the planning, organizing, training and leadership necessary to achieve restaurant/company goals in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service, guest satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation.
The Service Manager leads the Front of House Staff in the execution of service and hospitality and is responsible for the training, morale, and professional development of managers and team members. This position works with the General Manager, Chef team, and Operations team to establish and maintain service standards and hospitality best practices. As one of the leaders of our Front of House staff, this role must embody Agnes' family values and be able to teach and coach Agnes culture while ensuring compliance with labor and wage laws. They are also accountable for the financial health of the business as well as the overall quality of hospitality, service, food, and beverage they oversee.
RESPONSIBILITY AND SPAN OF AUTHORITY:
FINANCIAL REVENUE
- In accordance with budget, manage to target revenue goals by creative strategy in the reservation platform
- In accordance with established budget, responsible to communicate & manage FOH labor departments of their budgetary goals
LABOR
- Meet labor budget goals – monitor and audit in times/out times, job codes for payroll
- Reconcile and audit tip pool, calculations and daily recording
- Reconcile cash received and cash tips with POS reporting, preparing cash for weekly bank deposits
- Submit employee time keeping and approvals on punch in/out corrections to payroll
BEVERAGE
- Maximize and meet targeted revenue goals for all beverage categories; wine, liquor, cocktails, N/ a beverage
- Review weekly beverage pmix to formulate sales strategies for FOH team and make recommendations on product rotation, purchasing and pricing for all beverages
- Meet targeted COG’s for beverage program
- Verify coding of invoices to appropriate account through R365 and submit to accounting
Qualifications:
- 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurant’s trading area
- Have elevated knowledge of service, food, and beverage, generally involving at least three years of front-of- house operations and/or assistant management positions
- Possess excellent basic math skills, and the ability to understand/use/build basic spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel
- The ability to operate a POS system, preferably experience with Toast
Working Conditions and Expectations:
- Work schedule may require weekends and holidays, early morning and late evenings
- Shifts will range from 9 – 12 hours
- Fast paced, crowded, loud environment
- Must have the stamina to work 50 to 60 hours per week

Physical Requirements:
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours)
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
