Kitchen Operator- Sandwich Maker/Food Prep

Position Overview:

Agnello's is seeking a passionate and dedicated Kitchen Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent kitchen skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. As a Kitchen Operator, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality, delicious meals while adhering to our recipes, standards, and safety guidelines. You will also maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure a smooth and efficient kitchen operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare menu items according to Agnello's recipes, standards, and procedures.
• Set up and stock workstations with all necessary ingredients and equipment.
• Ensure proper food storage and rotation to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen by following sanitation guidelines and disposing of waste appropriately.
• Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation.
• Assist with maintaining inventory levels and notifying management of any shortages or discrepancies.
• Participate in daily and weekly cleaning tasks as assigned by the Kitchen Manager.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
• Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless coordination of orders and service.
• Continuously improve culinary skills and stay current with industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or similar role preferred.
• Knowledge of various cooking techniques, methods, and procedures.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and perform other physically demanding tasks.
