Agilus is recruiting for a Senior Controls Engineer in the Engineering industry in Detroit, Michigan. Our client is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer with expertise in industrial automation and robotics, with a proven track record in programming and integrating advanced control systems.
A typical day:
- Design, develop, and implement control systems for automated equipment and robotics
- Program and troubleshoot Fanuc robots for various applications
- Configure and maintain Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs and related control software
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of automation solutions
- Provide technical support and training to on-site teams as needed
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all automation processes
Successful candidates will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field
- 5–10 years of experience in controls engineering or industrial automation
- Proficiency in Fanuc robot programming (TP programming, iRVision, handling tools)
- Strong knowledge of Siemens and Allen Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and related software
- Experience in robotics applications within laboratories or hospital environments is considered an asset
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team setting
