We are seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to join our growing company. The Environmental Engineer will work closely with federal agency leaders and designated subject matter experts to review limited Phase I, Phase I, or Phase II environmental site assessments for a federal program following the appropriate ASTM standards to the comply within the scope of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA) (42 U.S.C. *9601) and petroleum products. The Environmental Engineer uses their knowledge the ASTM standard to conduct and/or review Environmental Phase I and Phase II reports and provides thoughtful recommendations. The Environmental Engineer/Professional collaborates with clients and other stakeholders to create effective and compelling material for policy, job aids, fact sheets, and training materials. The Environmental Engineer/Professional is responsive to client concerns and attends/plans meetings, trainings, and on-site visits as needed.

Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Review Environmental Site Assessments and provide recommendations to client.
- Develop statements of work for contracting purposes for Phase I or Phase II on individual projects.
- Produce Monthly Project Reports for completed work to include narrative and graphically represented progress.
- Develop, review, edit, or update material for policy, job aids, fact sheets, or training materials.
- Attend and/or support of planning meetings, training, on-site visits, or staff meetings at on-site or off-site locations, which may include associated travel.
- Develop associated trip reports including action items, task assignments, and updated monthly reports.
- 5 years of full-time relevant experience
- 3 years' experience conducting Environmental Phase I and Phase II reports that comply with the appropriate ASTM standard.
- Experience reviewing Environmental Phase I and Phase II reports and developing recommendations based on the report findings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and form products.
- Knowledgeable and experienced in operating small office machines, such as calculators, scanning devices, and copy machines.
- Experience with or knowledge of the principles of American English grammar, spelling, punctuation, word choice, and sentence structure.
- Experience with or knowledge of the current Government Printing Office (GPO) style and the principles of plain language.
- Knowledge of general agricultural, natural resources, conservation programs, or easements a plus
- Capable of working independently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills are key.
- Strong time management skills and deadline adherence.
- Satisfactory background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
- Successful completion of employment verification test.
- Professional Engineer's or Professional Geologist's license or registration from a state, tribe, or U.S. territory.
- Licensed or certified by the federal government, a state, tribe, or U.S. territory to perform environmental inquiries as defined in *312.21.
- Bachelor's degree or higher degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a discipline of engineering or science.
