Position Summary
The Financial Analyst II - Operations/Manufacturing will be responsible for preparation of the annual budget & periodic forecasts, financial reporting and analysis, and general ledger support, focused on operations and manufacturing costs, in addition to other areas of the business. In this role, you will work closely with manufacturing, field and corporate personnel to help develop forecasts and provide support for building the organization’s annual budget, forecasting, analyzing actual results and support decision making to grow the business profitably.
Schedule: This role requires up to 25% travel out-of-state, initially more during on-boarding.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide financial support to manufacturing, R&D, field and finance leaders and other corporate teams
- Responsible for preparing, consolidating, and distributing various financial reports and analyses
- Support achievement of the company's annual plan by monitoring and communicating performance of key metrics
- Enhance financial reports to give greater business insights into performance
- Assist with creation of monthly, quarterly, full year forecasts
- Assist with the annual budget preparation
- Execute assigned month-end close responsibilities
- Ensure the integrity and consistency of financial data across the various financial reporting systems and processes
- Assist with modeling efforts to assess business performance
- Creating and reviewing financial reports and analyses
- Recommend actions to improve results to achieve annual plan
- Increasing ownership of processes
- Streamline and improve efficiencies of reporting, analyses and processes
- Lead modeling efforts to assess business performance
- All other projects and duties as assigned
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related field required
- Minimum of 2 years of Finance experience, including manufacturing finance highly preferred
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices and the analysis and reporting of financial data including an understanding of basic financial statements
- Knowledge of manufacturing finance, accounting practices and related analyses, including the development of standard product costs, analysis of cost variances, manufacturing overhead analysis, capital investment analysis and reporting of KPIs relevant to manufacturing finance
- Willingness to travel up to 25%, initially more during on-boarding
- Ability to pull data from various data sources and present findings with recommendations for action
- Proven computer literacy in MS Suite with intermediate/advanced Excel skills
- SAP experience preferred
- Ability to understand and modify complex financial models
- Strong problem solving & analytical skills
- Ability to perform under time constraints
- Ability to prioritize and execute with proficiency
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven FP&A experience with a detailed understanding of financial statements
- Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects concurrently
- Ability to build complex financial models
- Excellent problem solving & analytical skills
- Self-motivated and proactive
