AgileRank is seeking a dedicated and skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with equipment repair, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of service in a healthcare environment.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various biomedical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize schematics to troubleshoot and diagnose issues with medical devices.
- Calibrate equipment according to manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Provide field service support for medical devices, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff to understand equipment needs and address any concerns.
- Use hand tools effectively for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Assist in the training of staff on proper use and maintenance of biomedical equipment.
Qualifications
- A two-year Associate Degree or higher in an applied science or equivalent military training
- A minimum of one year of hospital or healthcare experience performing medical equipment maintenance Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair, particularly in a biomedical or healthcare setting.
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair, particularly in a biomedical or healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and its maintenance requirements is preferred.
- Strong understanding of schematics and ability to read technical drawings.
- Experience with CMMS for tracking maintenance activities is advantageous.
- Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment for repairs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with healthcare professionals.
- BMET Certification a plus but not required
Additional Qualifications
- Understanding of regulatory agencies’ requirements, industry regulatory requirements and International Standard Organization standards.
- Prior experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is a plus
Must be able to obtain a US Government clearance
